The Leader in Professional Publishing. Helping experts and entrepreneurs write, publish, and market their book.

About us

Scribe helps busy professionals write the books they've been thinking, talking, and dreaming about for years—without them needing to type a single word. We're obsessed with Unlocking the World's Wisdom. No, really, that's our mission statement. And it applies to everything we do. We believe everyone has a story to tell. The only thing more important to us than those stories are the People telling them. Scribe bridges the gap between who they are right now and the Author they want to be. That may sound complicated, but it's actually very simple. Our Authors have already done the hard work. They've spent their lives learning and adapting—gaining priceless wisdom and expertise. They want to share this one-of-a-kind knowledge. So, we hone that experience. We provide the platform, the soapbox, and the microphone for their story. Literally. But, it doesn't stop there. We're not just a book writing or publishing company. We're a People company. We don't just tell stories. We connect those stories with the people who need them most. Our Authors can't sit in the room one-on-one with every person they want to reach, but their book can. So we create and execute a plan to do just that—get an Author's book in the perfect reader's hands (and ears). And we're not concerned with immediate returns—though our Authors see their fair share. It's about being part of an ecosystem that evolves with and sustains Authors. Putting a book in the hands of the perfect reader isn't the end goal. It's just the beginning. The dream, the reason we do this, the reason Scribe exists, is the cumulative effect of Unlocking the World's Wisdom. It's sharing those experiences, and that expertise, with the people who need it most. It's about helping people, one book at a time.

What if you spend 12 months writing your book, but no one reads it? 😱 Book Marketing is probably the most frequently overlooked aspects of book publishing. Follow these tips to guarantee your book finds it's perfect audience. 1️⃣ Start Early: Begin marketing your book long before it hits the shelves. Building anticipation is key! Create a launch timeline and start teasing your audience with snippets, cover reveals, and pre-order links. 2️⃣ Build Your Platform: Every author needs a solid platform. Invest in a professional website, maintain an active blog, and engage regularly on social media. This builds your credibility and keeps your audience engaged. 3️⃣ Email Marketing: Don’t underestimate the power of a well-crafted email list. Send out regular newsletters to keep your readers informed and interested. Exclusive content can make your subscribers feel special. 4️⃣ Network with Other Authors: Connect with other writers in your genre. Consider partnerships for cross-promotions, which can help you reach a wider audience. 5️⃣ Utilize Paid Ads: Invest in ads on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google. Target your ads to reach potential readers interested in your genre or similar books. 6️⃣ Get Reviews: Encourage your readers to leave reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Reviews are crucial for building trust and influencing new readers' decisions. 7️⃣ Book Tours and Events: Plan virtual or in-person book tours. Engaging with readers face-to-face or via live streams can greatly boost your visibility and connect you more deeply with your audience. 8️⃣ Leverage Content Marketing: Write articles or blogs related to your book's themes or the writing process. This can attract readers who are interested in your book's topics and increase your authority. 9️⃣ Offer Giveaways: Everybody loves free stuff. Host giveaways to create excitement and attract attention. Include signed copies, merchandise, or free consultations (if applicable). 🔟 Measure and Adapt: Use analytics to track the success of your marketing strategies. Be prepared to adapt your approach based on what works best for your book and audience. 🔗 Stay Consistent: Book marketing is a marathon, not a sprint. Consistent effort over time will yield the best results. Keep pushing forward! Our mission is to help amazing people become best selling authors. That's why we giveaway these tips for free. However, if you're looking for help with your book publishing or book marketing, we are always here to help!

After six years of research, workshops, and worn-out keyboards, Karissa Price and I are delighted to announce that our new book, Why Is a Verb: How Well-Managed Teams Turn Purpose Into Productivity, is now available for pre-order on Amazon, for April 23 release. Thanks to Emily K., Eric Jorgenson, Sophie May, Kaitlin Ka'iulani Leota, and the amazing team at Scribe Media for helping us reach the starting line. Special thanks to Marriott International’s Ty Breland and Forrester’s Jen Sanning for contributing the foreword and afterword, and the small army of collaborators you'll be able to read about in the acknowledgements. Why does this matter? Popular approaches to purpose are not working. Outside the C-suite, less than 1 in 6 is living their purpose at work. Productivity growth is testing all-time lows. We can do better.

Did you know Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) offers a straightforward path to self publish your book on Amazon? But here's why you shouldn't rush the process. Publishing on KDP is free, but costs to print are deducted from royalties for paperback versions. The real cost? Publishing hastily can lead to a product you're not proud of. Aim for quality—it reflects on you as a professional. How long to publish a book on Amazon? Some say you can do it in a day, but quick doesn't mean quality. Taking extra time ensures your book represents you well and sells better. Some of our tips: Titles matter! Your book title and cover are the first impressions. Invest in professional design and spend time crafting a magnetic title. This is critical for capturing attention and standing out in a crowded market. Marketing your book is as crucial as writing it. Before you publish: Choose the right keywords and categories for optimal visibility. Plan a full book launch to build buzz. Don't skip on setting up a robust Amazon Author page. Remember, your book is also your brand. Every detail from the book description to the DRM settings impacts how your audience perceives you. Take control of each aspect to align it with your professional image. Finally, consider the format. While eBooks are a great start, print books offer tangible credibility. If going for print, ensure your cover has a spine and back, and pay attention to formatting specifics. Self-publishing is a powerful tool for any business professional. It allows you to control your narrative, showcase your expertise, and connect directly with your audience. Take your time, do it right, and let your book be the best business card you ever hand out. #SelfPublishing #BusinessTips Here's our step-by-step guide to do it right: https://lnkd.in/eYRSjwNW

Five years later and "Can't Hurt Me" is still changing lives! When David Goggins chose professional publishing with Scribe over the traditional publishing deals he was offered, he retained ownership of his content and his story and ultimately made 3.5x more in royalties than he would have with traditional publishing. Goggins' debut book was released five years ago today and continues to rank at the top of the charts 📚 #davidgoggins #bookwriting #publishing
